The 2016 Lisbon Architecture Triennal, “The Form of Form,” features drawings from the Ecological Atlas in Petrochemical America, a book by Richard Misrach and Kate Orff (Aperture, 2012) in one of the four total exhibitions. The Lisbon Architecture Triennale is a major forum held every three years to debate, discuss and celebrate architecture around the world.
The exhibition, titled “The World in Our Eyes,” focuses on urban space, exploring the boundaries between architecture, urban research, and the visual arts. Petrochemical America uses photographs of the Mississippi River industrial corridor combined with visuals that unpack the complex cultural, physical, and economic issues of the region.
