Helen Kongsgaard is trained as an artist and writer. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she has also studied landscapes (Harvard University) and cities (University of Chicago), where she evolved the questions of sustainability and urbanism that she has developed in practice. Her work includes a range of project types from 'cultural planning' to live events to built works of landscape at a diversity of scales. At SCAPE she advances research, publications, advocacy and business development.
