Lucas is pursuing a degree in landscape architecture at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He works to support the design of a range of projects in the office, from the Harbor School Vision Plan to the ongoing development of Blake Hobbs Park in East Harlem. Lucas also holds a certificate as "skilled craftsman in the field of landscape gardening" and recently won the Peter-Joseph-Lenné-Preis 2012, a student competition award presented by the city of Berlin.
