Becs Commissaris is a Designer at SCAPE. With a background in architecture, Becs takes joy in the craft of construction, believing that well-built public spaces have the power to shape collective experiences over the long term. Her work also focuses on the social and material resilience of communities in response to climate impacts.
Becs holds a Master’s in Architecture from Yale University, where she was awarded the William Wirt Winchester Fellowship, the school’s highest distinction. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture and a Bachelor’s in Fine Art from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she graduated with honors; the Undergraduate Thesis Award; and the American Institute of Architects Henry Adams Medal.
