Jackson manages communications at SCAPE, including digital media, publications, press, and events. His background is in environmental advocacy and researching climate adaptation and mitigation in New York, the Gulf coast, and Southeast Asia.
Prior to SCAPE, Jackson managed business development and communications for resilience projects at One Architecture and Urbanism (ONE). He also helped teach a resilience curriculum at the DREAM charter school in East Harlem. Before ONE, Jackson worked in the nonprofit sector, organizing a conference on the science and policy of coastal restoration in Louisiana. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in urban history from Bard College, where he ran an environmental education program for public schools in the Hudson Valley and received two Alice Doyle Awards for his research on river infrastructure. He is from Savannah, Georgia.
