Sierra is a landscape designer at SCAPE. With an interdisciplinary background in environmental science, philosophy and the arts, Sierra approaches landscape design as a creative medium that can forge connections between people, spaces, and ideas. Prior to joining SCAPE, Sierra’s academic and professional practice focused on incorporating critical feminist theory and futures thinking into spatial design.
Sierra holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington where she received the Richard Haag Endowed Scholarship and an ASLA certificate of Merit. She also earned Bachelors degrees in Environmental Studies and Philosophy at the University of Oregon, where she earned departmental honors and was awarded the Philosophy Matters Prize.
