Living Breakwaters Final Environmental Impact Statement

The Living Breakwaters Project has reached a major milestone with the publication of the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). The Final EIS for the “Coastal and Social Resiliency Initiatives for the Tottenville Shoreline”, Staten Island, New York (Living Breakwaters and Tottenville Shoreline Protection Project) has been released for comments and public review and is available online. Hard copies are also available at the Tottenville Public Library at 7430 Amboy Road in Staten Island (718-984-0945) during the library’s regular hours. An appointment to review it at the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery (GOSR) at 25 Beaver Street, NY, can also be arranged by calling 212-480-2321. The 30-day public comment period for the Final EIS will end on July 16, 2018.
