Landscape architecture

SCAPE builds living landscapes that tell stories rooted in context, redefining what landscape architecture can achieve in a climate-shifting world. With an award-winning portfolio of built work, we bring design excellence and technical rigor in landscape design from concept through construction—realizing visionary, high-performance landscapes with attention to detail, context, accessibility, and ecological value.

Urban design & planning

With an eye toward long-term processes and implementation, SCAPE leads multi-disciplinary teams in developing master plans and frameworks. Alongside city agencies, institutions, and private developer clients, we chart a course for urban transformations, civic investments, and climate adaptation efforts. We co-develop spatial visions that will stand the test of time, linking stakeholder aspirations and planning outcomes.

Resilient infrastructure & climate adaptation

Climate adaptation is at the core of SCAPE’s practice. Informed by cutting-edge research in the natural sciences and environmental engineering, we envision next-century infrastructure that responds to the realities of a climate-changed future. Community engagement

Community engagement is embedded in SCAPE’s process from concept through completion. Engagement can educate; build consensus; bridge the gap between agencies, the private sector, and the public; amplify the voices of marginalized groups; and contribute to the hard work of existing advocates on the ground. Our toolbox is ever-expanding—we adapt our approach with every project, geography, and social context.

SCAPE is committed to inspiring the public to become stewards of the land. Through interpretive signage within landscapes, school curricula, and immersive museum exhibitions, SCAPE uncovers powerful narratives about the intersection of the natural and built worlds. These educational experiences transform landscapes into living, learning laboratories, where visitors engage in hands-on, place-based learning.
