SCAPE is excited to announce it will be partnering with LTL Architects for the Helen R. Walton Childhood Enrichment Center and Early Childhood Initiatives Center in Bentonville, Arkansas. The team was selected by the Northwest Arkansas Design Excellence Program out of 36 pre-selected firms. The new and expanded HWCEC space will serve over 240 children, ranging in ages from months-old to pre-K. Additionally, the ECIC will contain training facilities for professionals from about 500 early childhood programs throughout the area.
Last week, SCAPE Senior Associate and Project Manager, Lanie McKinnon, and other design team members attended the Kickoff to Excellence. The event was an opportunity for the public to meet the project designers and ask questions about the project. While in Arkansas, Lanie also visited the Scott Family Amazeumto explore and experience the many modes of engaging children in educational activities, like the interactive topography model.
