Gena Speaking at Sydney’s Sustaining the Seas Conference

Gena will be travelling to Sydney, Australia next week to participate in the Sustaining the Seas Conference: a multidisciplinary conference hosted by the University of Sydney’s Sustainable Fish Lab. The conference will bring together a variety of people, from academics and designers, to fishermen and artists. The purpose of the conference is to consider the challenges of how to better care for the oceans and marine ecological systems. Gena’s talk, which will take place on the first day of the conference is called “Building Speculative Coastlines.” She will be discussing how coastal infrastructure can be designed with the threat of climate change in mind.
