We broke ground on the new Arkansas Arts Center today alongside partners Studio Gang, Nabholz Corporation, Pepper Construction Group, and many others. Kate and Jeanne Gang delivered remarks alongside many others at the morning ceremony, including Little Rock Mayor, Frank Scott, Jr.
The transformed AAC designed by Studio Gang and SCAPE aims to foster deeper connections with a forested park adjacent to downtown Little Rock, AR—including new public plazas and gardens at the north and south entrances of the Center.
The ceremony also marks Dr. Victoria Ramirez’s first day as Executive Director of the Arkansas Arts Center, which is now $122.7M closer to its funding goal and aspiration to establish Little Rock as a cultural destination.
The event was covered in The Arkansas Times and Arkansas Money and Politics.
