SCAPE designing new waterfront park in Staten Island

Jun 22, 2016

The New York Wheel isn’t the only development arriving on the Staten Island shoreline. SCAPE envisions a future for the residents of the unique New York borough through waterfront access, green recreational space, and a restoration of the existing hydrological systems. The New Stapleton Waterfront, phase 2 and 3 with collaboration from ARUP and Marpillero Pollak Architects will become a desirable location for young professionals commuting to Manhattan, as well as, tie in the rich history of the area’s relationship with water.

From locals to travelers, Urby Residents to Staten Island Museum visitors, the green edge along the Stapleton waterfront will strengthen links to the city and the neighborhood and give all generations a new space to reflect on the past and dive into the future.
