Next week, Kate, Pippa, and Gena will all be participating in speaking engagements.
Kate will be kicking off the 2017-2018 lecture series for Auburn University’s School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture on Monday, September 25th with her lecture “Toward an Urban Ecology,” sharing the same name as the SCAPE publication.
Pippa will be the keynote speaker at University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s 6th Annual Watershed Symposium on October 26th, hosted by the University’s Watershed Faculty Consortium. The annual symposium provides students with an opportunity to engage with industry and agency professionals in watershed-related fields. Pippa’s keynote address, “Bridging Engineering + Ecology + Design,” takes place at 1:15pm.
Gena will be travelling to Stockholm to speak at the 2017 Oyster Seminar on Friday, September 29th. The seminar is an all-day event, beginning at 10am. This year’s theme is “Human Nature” and focuses on exploring the relationship between Nature and Humanity, philosophically, anthropologically, and practically.
