Earlier this week, Nans participated in the World Design Summit in Montreal. SCAPE was invited to the conference on behalf of Rebuild by Design to represent innovative landscape architecture and client collaboration. For the first time, the summit brought together international architecture, design, urban planning and landscape architecture organizations along with economic, social, environmental and cultural organizations to establish a framework for cooperation in utilizing the potential of design to create a better and more sustainable future for all.
During the summit, the Montreal Design Declaration was presented, discussed and signed by the participants. The Declaration serves as the foundation for continued international collaboration as well as a global call to action to governments, professional and educational entities, various stakeholders, civil society and to designers themselves.
