Living Breakwaters Project featured in Fortune Article on fighting the next Superstorm

SCAPE’s Living Breakwaters project was featured in a recent Fortune article, “America Needs New Ways to Fight the Next Superstorm.” The article calls for more federal, state and private funds towards projects that build infrastructure that incorporate natural systems instead of the “brute force of steel and concrete” to mitigate future storm damage. SCAPE’s Living Breakwaters is cited as a project that incorporates both ecological enhancements and physical infrastructure to protect the south shore of Staten Island.
