We’re happy to share that SCAPE won three awards in ASLA-NY’s 2021 Design Awards:

The Chattahoochee RiverLands received an Honor Award in Analysis, Research, Planning & Communications. Developed with a large, multidisciplinary team and a coalition of over 200 stakeholders, the RiverLands envision a 125-mile network of greenways and blueways spanning the entire Metro Atlanta region—a multi-generational project that aims to equitably engage communities of color that have historically lacked safe access to open space.

Greenpoint Library & Environmental Education Center received a Merit Award in General Design. On all three stories, the Library carves out space for hands-on encounters with the geological, ecological, and cultural history of Greenpoint. The plaza and gardens are designed to be accessible for all Library patrons in years to come – from child-sized spaces for planting and play to richly-detailed civic spaces for shared use, programs, and continued education.

Our Future Coast (with Dr. Don Boesch) received a Merit Award in Analysis, Research, Planning & Communications. In collaboration with a renowned coastal scientist named Dr. Don Boesch and the Walton Family Foundation, Our Future Coast envisions a future where Louisiana’s coastal ecosystems and economies are even more bountiful than today—and the dual challenges of sea-level rise and land loss are attenuated by restoration projects implemented at a regional scale.
