SCAPE is pleased to announce that the Vagelos Education Center has been selected as a winner of the 2017 AIA New York Design Awards.

Gena will be speaking this Saturday, March 11 at SHIFT- Communities in the Age of Climate Change, a design symposium hosted by the Tulane School of Architecture.

Gena gave a lecture today RISD’s Landscape Architecture Department as part of the Haffenreffer Lecture Series.

David will join fellow Rutgers University MLA alumni from SiteWorks and Melillo + Bauer Associates for a presentation of current professional work and discussion on opportunities in the field.

This week’s PBS NewsHour Episode focuses on resiliency in New York Harbor, featuring Kate’s / SCAPE’s vision for rebuilding mussels, oysters and ecological systems around New York Harbor as a resilience strategy, to prevent erosion and mitigate storm damage in the future.

SCAPE’s founder Kate is the featured speaker for the Sylvester Baxter Lecture series at the Harvard Graduate School of Design next Tuesday, February 21.

The 2016 Lisbon Architecture Triennal, “The Form of Form,” features drawings from the Ecological Atlas in Petrochemical America, a book by Richard Misrach and Kate Orff (Aperture, 2012) in one of the four total exhibitions.

On Wednesday, the DDC Design Talks series will feature Pippa and Gena, who will share SCAPE’s experience leading the design of contemporary infrastructure.

This Thursday, Pippa will speak on the opening panel for the Symposium on Water Resilient Urban and Regional Development at the German Center for Research and Innovation.

The 6th CAC meeting on the Living Breakwaters and Tottenville Shoreline Protection Project was held on January 25th at PS6 in Staten Island.
